PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Providence was recently the number one food city in the United States by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine, and what better way to honor Rhode Island's capital than by sampling some of the great restaurants.
Providence Winter Restaurant Weeks is back and will be happening from January 13-26.
“This is a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to sample the amazing and diverse group of restaurants that the Providence area has to offer,” said Martha Sheridan, president and CEO of the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB), which coordinates the annual event.
Diners may choose from about 80 restaurants offering three-course, prix fixe lunches for $14.95 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $29.95.
Besides Providence, select restaurants in Bristol, Cranston, East Greenwich, East Providence, Seekonk, Mass., Slatersville, South Kingstown, Warwick and Woonsocket are also participating.
A comprehensive list of all participating restaurants, along with their Restaurant Weeks menus, can be found at www.ProvidenceRestaurantWeeks.com .
Reservations for each restaurant may be made online at www.ProvidenceRestaurantWeeks.com (unless otherwise noted) or by calling the restaurants directly.
