PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Providence Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying the victim of an accident.

The male pedestrian was hit June 3 at the intersection of Service Rd. #7 and Broad St. at 3 a.m., right near Crossroads Rhode Island.

Police said the victim was not carrying identification with him at the time of the accident. They said, as of Tuesday, he was non-responsive at Rhode Island Hospital.

The victim has a tattoo of a cross and an American eagle on his right shoulder, a tattoo of a palm tree and sunset on his left shoulder, and a tattoo with the initials “E. M. A.” on his left forearm.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the victim was cited for “due care by operator of a motor vehicle.”

Any person with information about the victim is asked to contact Ptlm. John Sigillo of the PPD Traffic Bureau at 401-243-6292.
