Police investigate afternoon shooting
Man shot on Pine Street in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police have launched an investigation after a person was shot in a Providence neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Officers tell us the shooting occurred at the corner of Pine and Pearl Streets, and that shell casings were located nearby.
The victim's injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
