PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Two men are facing kidnapping and assault charges in Rhode Island after a third man told police he was abducted in Massachusetts following a failed drug deal.

The Providence Journal reports that the victim went to police Saturday to report that he had been kidnapped in Lawrence, Mass.

He told police the two men threatened to kill him over the drug transaction and drove him to Providence. The man escaped by jumping out of the car.

Police located the car and arrested 34-year-old Alberto Serrano and 30-year-old Manuel Sanquintin. No addresses for the suspects were available.
