PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The newly-elected members of the Rhode Island General Assembly participated in an all-day orientation session at the State House Tuesday.
The 24 new lawmakers toured the state house, attended a workshop on policy, and had lunch on the Brown University campus.
House Speaker Gordon Fox and Senate President Teresa Paiva-Weed addressed the new recruits during the event.
The 16 new representatives and 8 new senators also posed for their official photos for the upcoming legislative session.
