PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - One of the defendants in "Operation Deception" returns to court Wednesday.
Khalid Mason,34, is scheduled to appear in Providence Superior Court for a pre-trial hearing.
Rhode Island State Police have accused Mason as being a major supplier of drugs to co-defendant Albert Hamlin.
Hamlin was charged with running a lucrative cocaine operation. He plead guilty to the drug-dealing charges in November.
In an interview with Target 12 Investigators , Mason adamantly denied the charges against him.
According to state police, wiretaps on cell phones played a major role in the investigation into Mason and five others, including three Providence Police officers.
