Judge postpones Kim Fry's sentencing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Providence Journal reports that a Superior Court Judge has rescheduled Kimberly Fry's sentencing hearing.
The North Kingstown mother convicted of killing her 8 year old daughter Camden is now scheduled to learn her punishment March 23.
Last week, Fry replaced the public defenders who represented her at trial with attorney Joseph Salvadore.
On Feb. 3 Superior Court Judge William Carnes will consider a motion for a new trial brought by Salvadore.
The Providence Journal reports that Salvadore said he will argue that the new evidence in the case is that Fry never consented to her previous lawyer's strategy in arguing that Fry accidentally killed her daughter.
Fry faces life in prison with the possibility of parole after twenty years.
