Disaster drill in Providence

Rescue crews respond to mock train accident

PROVIDENCE, RI (AP) - Dozens of emergency responders are doing a disaster drill in Providence this weekend.

The drill is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday across from the entrance to Roger Williams Park.

The exercise will involve removing, transporting and caring for mock train passengers.

It's being sponsored by the Providence Emergency Management Agency and the Greater Providence Metropolitan Medical Response System.
