PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Maybe three times will be the charm for the Rhode Island Judiciary, which has sentenced a new sentencing date for Operation Deception suspect Joseph Colanduono.

Colanduono, a former Providence police officer, was scheduled to be sentenced last week and then again this Wednesday. However, bad weather forced both proceedings to be cancelled.

Now, the sentencing has been rescheduled for Feb. 17, according to Amy Kempe, spokeswoman for the attorney general's office.

Colanduono pleaded guilty last month for his role in a major drug dealing ring. Two other officers, Patrolman Robert Hamlin and Sgt. Stephen Gonsalves, have already pleaded either guilty or no contest.
