PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A deadbeat dad accused of failing to pay $300,000 in child support over thirteen years has delayed his return to Rhode Island.

Stephen Swallow was arrested in Buckley, Michigan last week.

Today, Swallow appeared in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids and asked to postpone his hearings.

They were moved to next Tuesday.

He's still being held without bail.
