PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A couple hiking from Maine to Florida to raise money for military veterans and their families were scheduled to make a stop in Rhode Island Monday.
Iraq War veteran William Mosebach and Kristen Creech have embarked on a 2,500 mile journey down the East Coast Greenway in hopes of inspiring people to help military families in need.
Their walk, dubbed the "Hike for Heroes," will benefit the nonprofit organization Active Heroes , which provides financial assistance and job placement for active military members, veterans, and their families.
Mosebach and Creech were scheduled to meet with Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed in Providence Monday afternoon.
