PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A car has crashed into a Providence home on the corner of Butler Ave. and Waterman St.

Crews from the Providence Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene just after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

It appears as though the vehicle hit a basketball hoop in front of the house and continued into the home, though the damage doesn't look severe.

So far police have released little detail about the incident, which remains under investigation.
