Brown U. holds commencement ceremony

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Brown University wrapped up its weekend of commencement activities with its annual degree ceremony.

Students and their families gathered on the university's main green followed by the traditional procession.

Nine honorary doctorates were also handed out.

Among the recipients were actress Viola Davis, journalist Diane Sawyer and outgoing Brown University President Ruth Simmons.
