PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education is seeking volunteers to serve on four school boards of trustees.

The members of the board are looking to appoint members to the Central Falls School District board, the Metropolitan Career and Technical School (The Met) board, the Rhode Island School for the Deaf board, and the William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School board.

“We need these boards to be up and running,” said the Chairman of the Board of Regents, George D. Caruolo. “The boards have an important impact on these institutions, and we need good, high-quality people who are willing to donate their time for this important work.”

More information of the state laws establishing the Boards of Trustees for  Central Falls , Davies and The Met , and the School for the Deaf can be found online.

Those interested in volunteering to serve on any of the boards should e-mail the liaison to the Board of Regents, Angela Teizeira , with a cover letter and a resume or any other material the Regents should consider in making appointments to these boards.
