PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Providence's Catholic bishop is offering a special "Prayer for Our Nation" service on Election Day.

Bishop Thomas J. Tobin announced Friday that he will celebrate a noon Mass on Tuesday, November 6th, as voters head to the polls to decide the presidency.

The Mass will take place at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence.

According to a news release from the Diocese of Providence, all are invited to attend the "non-partisan liturgical celebration."

"Perhaps a little prayer will go a long way in providing some assurance and guidance for our leaders," said Bishop Tobin in the news release.
