PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Gas prices have been on the rise as of late in Rhode Island, but AAA has found that they've essentially lain dormant this week.
According to the latest survey, the average price of regular unleaded is $3.62 per gallon for the second week in a row.
The local average is 14 cents over the national average of $3.48, but it's 23 cents short of the average price at this time last year, which was $3.85.
The range in local gas prices is currently 25 cents, from a low of $3.54 to a high of $3.79.
AAA would also like to remind drivers in Southern New England to take only what you need when driving in order to save money on gas.
