EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Officers are looking for a gunman who opened fire on a home in East Providence.

Lieutenant Raymond Blinn said a home at the intersection of Simmons and Cross streets was hit with five or six bullets around 2:30 a.m Sunday. No one inside was injured. Several shell casings were discovered out on the street.

A resident at the home did not wish to speak with the media Sunday morning.

Police are looking for a dark-colored vehicle, possibly an SUV, seen driving away from that home following the shooting. So far there have been no arrests.
