(WPRI/WNAC) - Director and Rhode Island native Michael Corrente is at it again, he's joined forces with Twilight star Peter Facinelli to shoot his latest film right here in the Ocean State.
The movie has some big name actors in it including, Michael Madsen, Joe Pantoliano, and Peter Facinelli, who wrote the script.
The crew turned the old Arcade in Providence into a New York City subway station. Director Michael Corrente said working at home, where he's shot many of his films before, is certainly an advantage.
The film entitled 'Loosies' wasn't an overnight project. Facinelli wrote the script nearly seven years ago and in fact showed it to Corrente while the director was making 'Brooklyn Rules.'
After taking a second look at the script a few years later and with help from producer Chad Verdi, it was finally time to start shooting.
The film which is expected to be in theaters next summer revolves around Facinelli's character Bobby, a New York pick pocket who has convinced everyone that he's made his money from Wall Street.
He's later faced with some major life decisions when he realizes he is going to be a father.
