NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- North Providence police are seeking the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

The male suspect is accused of robbing the Bahra's Market, located at 900 Charles St., on Monday, July 23.

Officers say the suspect entered the market with a handgun rolled up in a newspaper. He then displayed the weapon to a clerk, demanded money and told the clerk not to call police.

The suspect then grabbed the cash with a gloved hand and fled the scene. No vehicle was seen leaving the area.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to contact the North Providence Police Department at (401) 231-4533.
