NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Mineral Spring Avenue store and threatened to harm the cashier with a handgun.

North Providence police say the robber entered Sam’s Food Mart, showed the cashier two guns he had in his waistband, and threatened the cashier.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was seen wearing a light-colored jacket with the letter “B” on the left chest, a dark-colored baseball hat with the letter “B”, and three-quarter length blue jean shorts.

Police reported that the suspect may be responsible for robberies in both Central Falls and Attleboro, Mass.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Detective Frank Delsanto at (401) 231-4533 ext: 135.
