PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Several mayoral races are up for grabs across the Ocean State including in Providence, where Democrat Angel Taveras will face off against Independent Jonathan Scott.

Mayoral races are also taking place in Cranston, Cumberland, Johnston, and Warwick.

In the races for lieutenant governor, incumbent Elizabeth Roberts is being challenged by Independent Robert Healey and Robert Venturini. Healey is campaigning to eliminate the office. Polls show it’s a pretty close race.

Rhode Island voters will also cast their ballots for a new attorney general in a five-way race between Republican Erik Wallin , Democrat Peter Kilmartin, Moderate Christopher Little , and Independents Robert Rainville and Keven McKenna.
