PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A Rhode Island man has pleaded guilty to charges that he molested three boys.
State Attorney General Peter Kilmartin said Tuesday that Jorge Jacinto Masariego (mah-zah-ri-AY'-goh) of Pawtucket agreed to serve 20 years in prison for the charges. Upon release he will be required to register as a sex offender.
Prosecutors say the 33-year-old Masariego molested three boys ages four, six and nine between late 2008 and early 2011. They say he met the boys after becoming friends with their parents at a Providence church.
Authorities say the molestation came to light after one of the victims told his father about the abuse. Investigators later found two other victims.
