PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Providence Mayor David Cicilline is promising swift and harsh punishment for city workers who were caught by the Target 12 Investigators spending time at home, while they were on the clock.
Our exclusive, undercover investigation caught Providence Parks Department worker Anthony Micheletti being dropped off at home after clocking into work, then being picked up hours later.
Our cameras also caught Micheletti being dropped off by two different foremen who were assigned to supervise him: David Mambro and Joseph Tombleson.
Another Parks worker, Giovani Carderelli, was also implicated in our investigation.
"It's outrageous," says Providence Mayor David Cicilline. "It's a betrayal to the taxpayers of the city, it's an offense to the resident of Providence, and it will not be tolerated."
All four workers have been suspended without pay, pending an internal investigation. But Mayor Cicilline tells us he wants them terminated.
"Everyone of those employees will not work for the city of Providence. We are in the process of ending their employment."
