PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Governor Don Carcieri joined leaders of the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services Wednesday morning to launch the new AskRI web site.
Now, anyone in Rhode Island with an internet connection will be able to access free resources that were only available at libraries.
The site offers homework help for students, and access to other research materials such as World Book Encyclopedias, and Heritage Quest.
Students can also take advantage of free tutoring online after school.
Resources include articles on consumer health, life skills such as financial issues and housing and resources in Spanish and translation capabilities in 14 other languages.
