PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island has restored the license of an anesthesiologist accused of molesting female patients.

Dr. Russel Aubin lost his license in 2005 after the State Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline concluded he had fondled a woman while she was sedated undergoing knee surgery at Kent Hospital.

Aubin was acquitted of second-degree sexual assault but a civil court upheld the license revocation.

Aubin was found psychologically fit last year.
