PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - After a $4 million renovation at the main branch of the Providence Public Library, the library is hoping to make some money off its new beautiful spaces.

The library's director told our news partners at The Providence Journal, with refurbishment of the Grand Hall and addition of an inner courtyard, the library hopes to soon rent out event space and use the cash to pay for library expenses.

The idea partly stemmed from the Boston Public Library, which has hosted events, like weddings, for more than a decade.
