PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The Rhode Island secretary of state's office is offering one last chance for voters to get a free state photo ID ahead of Tuesday's primary.
The office will provide IDs to any voter who needs one on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Labor and Ethnic Heritage Festival at Slater Mill in Pawtucket.
Voters must bring proof of identity such as a Social Security card or utility bill and will get the ID on the spot.
A new law requires voters to show identification when they go to the polls. A government-issued photo ID will be required starting in 2014.
Until then, other forms of non-photo identification, such as a bank statement or government-issued document, may be used.
