PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are looking for the person that fired shots outside a home in Providence Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the house at 180 Waverly Street around 2:00 a.m. They found several shell casings in the home's driveway and in the street. A window on the second floor was shot out but no one inside the home was injured.

Lieutenant Dean Isabella told Eyewitness News that the house and its occupants do not appear to have been the target of the shooting, although it's still unclear what actually happened. No one in the area witnessed the shooting, Isabella said, and an earlier report of a car seen leaving the scene was unfounded.
