PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Statistics show 70% of child booster seats are improperly installed. Hasbro Children's Hospital wants to change that.
The Injury Prevention Center at Hasbro has teamed up with the Kohl’s Cares Car Seat Check Program. The safety events are free, and will be held several times each month. During the program, parents will be shown the right way to install their child's car seat.
The following dates have been scheduled for safety events, but may change due to the weather. So, organizers suggest checking the event calendar frequently.
Organizers say parents should bring their vehicle, car seat and child for proper fitting. For more information -- call 401-444-5018.
