PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A former Chariho High School Assistant Soccer Coach is facing federal charges of possession of child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha sought the additional charges after Glen Matteson, 52, of Richmond, was arrested and charged within Rhode Island back in February.
The three-count federal indictment includes receipt, possession, and distribution of child porn. Previously, Richmond Police sought charges of indecent solicitation of a child and possession.
Matteson was released on an unsecured bond after his appearance in federal court today, all while being free on bail during proceedings in state court .
If convicted in the federal case, Matteson could face up to 60 years of incarceration, 5 of which would need to be served in the federal prison system.
