PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Economic Development Corporation met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday.

But when it came time to discuss 38 Studios, the EDC slipped behind closed doors.

Governor Lincoln Chafee told Eyewitness News the EDC was discussing sensitive information regarding the bankrupt video game company, but there would be no major announcements.

The EDC itself is under a formal review by the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council.

Since the unravelling of 38 Studios, the EDC board has lost several key members.

Executive Director, Keith Stokes resigned, as did the Chief Financial Officer.

The Governor ordered the review.

The results will be out in September.
