EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- East Providence police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed outside a bar early Sunday morning.
Police tell Eyewitness News that 25 year-old Nuno Vega of Pawtucket was stabbed at about 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the East Bay Tavern on Lyon Avenue.
Vega was stabbed in the face and torso, but police say his injuries are not life-threatening. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital but is himself facing a disorderly conduct charge because he was fighting with another person before being stabbed.
Investigators say they have identified a person of interest in the case but have not yet made any arrests.
