Police identify E.Prov. homicide victim

50-year-old found dead inside Metacomet Ave. home

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- The death of an East Providence woman is being called a homicide following an investigation by the state medical examiner's office.

Michelle Busby, 50, of 71 Metacomet Ave., was found dead inside of her home Friday night.

East Providence police are asking the public's help in locating Busby's boyfriend, who is a person of interest in the investigation, as well as the victim's vehicle.

Andrew Jett, who is believed to have been living with the victim, is being sought by police for questioning.

The victim's vehicle is described as a white 2006 Jeep Commander, with last-known Rhode Island license plates JP-449.

Anyone with information about the person of interest or the victim's Jeep is asked to contact the East Providence Police Department at (401) 435-7600.
