Floods cause sinkhole in E.P. backyard

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Severe storms caused flood damage throughout Southern New England Wednesday , including one neighborhood in East Providence.

Emergency crews were called to the area of South Broadway and Lee Streets after a sinkhole was created in one backyard.

Flood waters caused the ground to give way, and the yard was blocked off as water rushed through the ground.

There's no word if anyone was injured at the scene.
