EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- An East Providence woman was able to escape her house safely after flames broke out Friday afternoon.
The fire started shortly before 4 p.m. on President Avenue, in the Riverside section of the city.
Emergency crews were able to knock the fire down quickly, and no injuries were reported on the scene. Eyewitnesses tell us a mother and daughter live at the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
