EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)-- Classes at East Providence High School will resume Monday, Interim Superintendent John DeGoes said.
The school was forced to close Thursday and Friday after a water pipe burst and flooded the building .
Air quality tests were conducted Saturday following the clean up efforts.
Twenty classrooms suffered damage; on the second floor of the school's new wing, classrooms were covered in two inches' worth of water, which then seeped down to classrooms below and ceiling tiles.
The damage was an ongoing issue and had nothing to do with last week's weather or excessive winds DeGoes said.
