PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) - Deepwater Wind submitted a new plan to build a wind farm off the coast.

The Providence based company originally submitted a proposal last December.

The revised plan was submitted on Monday to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

It calls for a 200 turbine wind farm in waters 18 miles off the coast between Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Another company, Massachusetts based Neptune Wind has also expressed interest in building a wind farm, but there has been no word if they have submitted a proposal.
