PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI/AP) - WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Two Rhode Island residents have been indicted on murder charges in the death of a 19-year-old Worcester man who went missing in March.
The Worcester District Attorney's office announced the indictments Friday of 22-year-old Lara Cori and 19-year-old James Howze of Providence.
The body of Joseph Webster was discovered in April inside a storage container.
A Rhode Island State Police K-9 unit discovered Webster's body in the backyard of a Wesleyan Avenue home, not far from the suspects' apartment.
He had last been seen at a Northborough, Mass., motel, where prosecutors say Cori and Howze attacked him and stole his car.
Cori and Howze had earlier pleaded not guilty to assault and other charges. Howze's attorney then called the evidence "hearsay."
Cori's attorney has said his client did not kill Webster.
