PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The frigid temperatures created problems for Providence firefighters Tuesday night as they worked to put out a fire inside an auto repair shop.
Crews responded to "El Maestro Auto Repair" around 6:00 p.m. Firefighters not only had to battle the fire, but battle bitter cold temperatures which caused the fire hose valves to freeze.
Officials were forced to call in other fire crews to assist them. The fire started inside a car that was located on top of a lift inside the building, according to authorities.
No word on what caused the fire.
