PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence Board of Licenses held a hearing on Monet Lounge Wednesday, and they now have ten days to make a decision about the club's future.
The nightclub was the scene of the city’s 14 th homicide of 2012 early Sunday morning.
Providence police say both Jamal Cruz, 38, of Wareham, and Rokiem Henley, 36, of Brockton, were shot in the dirt parking lot across the street from Monet.
Cruz was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital, while Henley suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police arrested Terrel Barros, 23, and Stephen Bodden, 22, both of New Bedford, in connection with the crime.
Barros is facing a variety of charges, including murder.
Bodden is facing several firearms charges.
