Classic car show held to benefit East Prov. athletics

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Dozens of classic cars were on display Sunday for the East Bay Automotive “Save the Sports” Classic Car show.

Samboni the Providence Bruins mascot was in attendance to meet fans and pose for pictures.

All proceeds of the event will benefit the Friends of the Townie Athletics and Project 106: Saving Middle School Sports.

Organizers hope to raise $10,000 to help keep sports alive at the middle school level.
