PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee is scheduled to announce the new state Adjutant General Thursday.
Governor Chafee will make the official announcement at 2 p.m. on the South Rotunda at the State House.
At the event, he will announce his selection to serve as the new Adjutant General of R.I. and Commanding General of the R.I. National Guard.
The outgoing Adjutant General is Major General Robert Bray who has held the position since 2006.
