PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)—The city of Providence plans to put a stop to bottle service inside night clubs as a result of several warnings.

According to the Providence Journal , nightspots with liquor licenses received a letter from the Board of Licenses threatening fines and license revocation.

Although it is legal to sell a bottle of beer or wine to customers, it is not legal to sell an entire bottle of liquor in bars and nightclubs.  Despite this law, many clubs still sell bottles of liquor to customers, but at a higher price than normal.
