PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Arrangements for fallen Rhode Island hero Sgt. Dennis Weichel have been made.
Weichel's body is scheduled to arrive at T.F. Green Airport from Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Saturday.
A public wake will be held Sunday at the Olson & Parent Funeral Home located at 417 Plainfield Street in Providence from 4p.m. - 8 p.m.
A private funeral is also being held.
Weichel died in Afghanistan on March 22, 2012 in a non-combat related incident.
Weichel, a father of three, was in the RI National Guard for 11 years.
He was overseas supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
