PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Coventry teen accused of killing an acquaintance in Providence is scheduled to be arraigned on murder charges Monday, according to the Attorney General's office.

18-year-old Travis Garcia waived extradition from Connecticut Friday. He is charged with the murder of 32-year old Jeannine Garcia; the two are not related.

Police said Travis Garcia strangled Jeannine Garcia in her Cathedral Square Apartment. They said they discovered her body after Travis Garcia was arrested in Clinton, Connecticut. Police said he was driving Jeannine Garcia's car, which he crashed when police tried to pull him over for speeding.
