PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Gas prices in Rhode Island have jumped 12 cents in the past week on average, according to the weekly survey by AAA Southern New England.
Self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline is averaging $3.66 per gallon. While local prices are 13 cents higher than a month ago, they haven't increased as quickly as they were a year ago.
The cheapest price per gallon for self-serve unleaded is $3.53, and the highest, $3.79. The auto club advises drivers to shop around in their area for the best prices.

The Rhode Island average is 14 cents above the national average, which is $3.52.
