Free seasonal flu clinics to be offered

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island said it will offer free seasonal flu vaccines for people who do not have health insurance coverage.

The vaccines are scheduled to be distributed at clinics on Tuesday and Thursday at the Rhode Island Free Clinic in South Providence.

  • Tuesday's clinic is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday's clinic is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

BCBSRI said the vaccines will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. The H1N1 vaccine will not be available.
