PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - A triple decker on West Avenue in Pawtucket caught fire early Wednesday morning, the second time flames have torn through the building in the last two weeks.
Smoke and flames were reportedly coming from the first floor of the building around 2:00 a.m. The triple-decker has a hair salon on the first floor and apartments on the floors above.
Fire crews confirmed it was the same building that caught fire on January 25th . That fire started in a child's bedroom, according to fire officials. Flames gutted most of the third floor, and the entire building was deemed uninhabitable. At least six people were displaced.
The building had reportedly been vacant since then, but firefighters would not say if anyone was inside when the fire started Wednesday morning. They said there were no reports of injuries.
Fire crews were still investigating the cause Wednesday morning.
