Driver charged with DUI in crash

One person was ejected from the other vehicle

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI)- The driver in a crash that injured seven people is now facing several charges.

Christopher Schabowski, 23, of Burrillville is charged with driving to endanger resulting in personal injury, DUI drugs/alcohol, and reckless driving.

Investigators believe Schabowski was trying to pass a minivan that was turning into a South Main street driveway when his truck struck the van.

Seven people sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Melissa McIlmail, 21, was critically injured when she was ejected from the vehicle.
