PASCOAG, R.I. (WPRI) – Health officials are testing the town of Pascoag's water for possible contamination.
The Pascoag Utility Department is testing for possible E-coli bacteria, but currently there is a no boil water order in place. Test results are expected back by Saturday.
Officials tell Eyewitness News that they have increased chlorination in the water supply, and have performed some hydrant flushing to move that chlorinated water through the system faster.
Pascoag Utility says that if the tests come back positive there will be door-to-door notifications to residents.
